If you have a regular credit score or a good credit score but you want to make it even better, there are some things that you will want to watch.

  • You first of all need to pull your credit report to make sure what information you have there.  Check that every single information there is updated, it’s correct, and you don’t have any negative marks there and also check if your balances are in good standing that you are paying on time.
  • Try to pay more than the minimum and before the payment due date.
  • Try to keep your balances in less than 50% of your credit limit and try to diversify the kind of credit that you have.  Only credit cards is probably not going to make an excellent, excellent credit report because nowadays the credit report agencies are going to take into consideration what type of credit do you have.  So, you can have like credit cards, you can have probably a mortgage or a car loan, or other loan.  Those are going to be different types of credit that’s going to show some planning on your credit history.  That you have some credit cards for some type of expenses, that you have a car loan because part of your life and your planning that you have done for your life, or you have a loan because you have studied in the past and you are paying now or you are about to study and they are recording that.

All the information that is shown on the credit report shows how we are living our life through our credit.  So, as long as you show something consistent, as long as you show something that is planned, it’s going to be good information for you.  Always remember that the credit history and of course the score linked to this credit history it’s going to take time to build it.  So, if you follow the steps during your lifetime, it’s when you are always going to have a good credit score.
