If you must apply for a credit card,
- Make sure you are very thorough on the credit card application in a legible format.
- Make sure that you are truthful with the assets and liabilities that you do have.
- Make sure that you fill out the form showing the amount of time in your residence. It should be over three years. The time in your job should be over two years, and things of that nature.
- Make sure that you sign the credit card application in a legible format and put all contact numbers that are available there as well, should the credit card company want to call your for clarifying information.
- Make sure that you don’t apply for too many credit cards and you find the credit card that you want with the lowest rate of interest as well.
